"He's running late," Leo muttered, his voice barely audible. He was sitting at a crowded bar, nursing a beer he barely touched. Jake, his long-time friend, had promised to meet him to watch the game. Jake had worked for a law firm. Always. Then Leo spotted him across the room, laughing with a group of people, dressed in a chef's apron, not a suit.

A tremor ran through Leo's hands, causing the glass to clink against the table. He stood up, knocking over his chair in the process. He needed some air.
